Chief Executive

Kate joined Home-Start East Sussex in 2008. She previously managed the Human Resources department for a medium sized charity and was a member of their Senior Management Team.

Before that she worked with vulnerable young adults, children excluded or at risk of exclusion from mainstream education and young carers.  She spent 16 years as a lone parent.

Kate is a member of the East Sussex Local Safeguarding Board as the voluntary sector conduit and a member of Speakup, where senior staff from the East Sussex voluntary and community sector keep in regular contact to share information, engage in dialogue about strategic issues and make decisions for joint action. Kate wants to be part of a community that drives social action over and beyond her organisational role.
